Too often intuition is seen as having little value when compared to the more "realistic" and logical forms of thought. However, our research has shown that entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, salespeople and crisis problem solvers have strong intuitive ability as a common strength.
Intuitive insight is a legitimate and reliable source of thinking for those who appreciate its' value. Einstein, Bell Lab scientists and many successful business leaders claim that the vast majority of their inventions and inspirations "came to them" while doing unrelated activities outside of work. Yet, while we "know" this is true, most businesses still try to force creativity into a formal business setting, which undermines the potential for opening to the power of our tremendous intuitive resources. It just might be that your own beliefs about intuition keep you closed to a valuable additional source of information. Ask yourself how much attention you give to those "feelings" that tell you when something just isn't right or that you shouldn't wait to take action. How many times have these "little messages" been ignored by you or stifled in your organization? Why not try paying more attention to the thoughts and feelings that "jump into your mind" and consider their value for resolving issues in your life.
